Guiding students toward excellence
Beyond the premises they share, De Vinci Higher Education students have access to activities and programmes common to all three schools (EMLV, ESILV, IIM): professional specializations in entrepreneurship, digital technology, and finance, as well as community life, sports activities, and joint study projects. Students collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, just as they would in a company.
Following our inclusion in the prestigious Financial Times ranking a few months ago, this third place rewards all the work done by the school’s teams to offer the best possible experience to our students and confirms our ambitions to be among the best French and international post-baccalaureate business schools, – Cyril Blondet Vargas, Director of Programmes, EMLV
EMLV favours small group teaching to facilitate content assimilation and enable better dialogue with teachers. Lectures are limited to the fundamentals and represent only 10% of teaching.
Transversal skills are at the heart of EMLV’s educational project, which aims to stimulate curiosity and a desire for discovery among students. Over the five years of the programme, EMLV offers a comprehensive programme of soft skills and personal development training, designed to reflect developments and expectations in the professional world.
The EMLV Grande École Programme proudly retains its third place among post-baccalaureate business schools. This ranking reflects the academic excellence of the programme, its international outlook and the commitment of the teaching staff, who are fully mobilised to support students in their projects and help them enter the professional world. – Virginie Ferrouillat, Director of the EMLV Grande École Programme
EMLV meets all key selection criteria in the four main areas
Fifteen criteria were used to rank schools offering Master’s degrees: prestige, power, development, social impact, attractiveness, infrastructure, research, faculty, teaching, international outlook, professionalisation, employability, entrepreneurship, digital policy and educational innovation.
EMLV stands out among these for its solid educational approach:
- Attractiveness – Located in Paris La Défense, no fewer than 45,000 students, 3,600 companies, 1,500 head offices and 180,000 employees share the forecourt of Europe’s leading business district. To promote and develop this wealth, EMLV aims to provide skills and work with local stakeholders.
- Labels — EMLV is one of the few management schools to hold the three major international accreditations – AACSB, AMBA and EFMD Accredited – a guarantee of the academic quality of its Grande École programme.
- Power — EMLV encourages international openness and has developed numerous partnerships with higher education institutions abroad.
- Development — With 2,800 graduates from the Pôle Léonard de Vinci schools, including EMLV, the institution’s growing visibility is enhancing its appeal to future applicants, contributing to the increase in enrolments between 2024 and 2025.
- Social / Diversity — Student life gives students the opportunity to develop their behavioural skills through voluntary and optional commitments, which are supported by the school and can be rewarded with a grade.
- Infrastructure — With campuses in Paris-La Défense, Nantes and Montpellier, EMLV offers its Grande École Programme at several locations, providing a learning environment aligned with local and international economic dynamics.
- Faculty — The permanent faculty at EMLV, Paris-La Défense School of Management, is made up of teacher-researchers who combine academic expertise with professional experience. It is complemented by associate professors from the business world.
- Professionalisation — EMLV is increasing its interactions with the business world through internships, work-study programmes, recruitment forums in France and abroad (including Dublin), an Alumni Forum, conferences, a development committee, visits to Fablabs and sites dedicated to innovation, student-business projects, and more.
- Teaching — EMLV favours small group teaching to facilitate the assimilation of content and enable better dialogue with teachers. Lectures are limited to the fundamentals and represent only 10% of teaching.
- International — EMLV emphasises international awareness in order to train managers with genuine multicultural awareness and multiple international experiences.
- Research — EMLV’s research strategy is based on four main development objectives: scientific excellence, societal impact of research, interdisciplinarity and internationalisation. Diverse international experiences abroad and on campus are offered. As a result, all students in the Grande École Programme are required to spend a full year abroad in their third year, consisting of one academic semester and a six-month internship.
- Employment / Salaries — Designed with and for businesses, EMLV’s training programme meets their expectations and promotes the professional integration of graduates.
