The 2024 Vietnam Symposium on Supply Chain opened with keynote addresses from distinguished experts, setting a constructive tone for discussions. These sessions addressed pivotal shifts in the field, providing a comprehensive exploration of subjects such as blockchain technology, the Internet of Things (IoT), digital transformation, climate resilience, and sustainability—all representing significant shifts in global supply chains’ operations.

Throughout the symposium, the sessions encouraged participants to explore these areas from a theoretical and practical perspective, enabling an exchange that underscored the intersection of cutting-edge research and actionable industry strategies.

This session exemplified how academic research can inform practical policies, highlighting the ability of digital twins to simulate and prepare logistics operations for a range of challenging conditions, by enabling supply chains to model and adapt to diverse weather scenarios, digital twin technology offers valuable applications in minimizing operational risks.
