Jointly organised by AVSE Global, the Banking Academy of Vietnam, EMLV, Massey University and the International Society for the Advancement of Financial Economics (ISAFE), the event brings together researchers, experts and decision-makers from the financial sector.
The VSBF 2025 is part of a dynamic process in which issues related to financial markets, banking regulation, technology integration and structural changes in economic systems are analysed from an academic and professional perspective.
The opening of the symposium provided an opportunity to contextualise the major developments in the sector and to highlight the importance of dialogue between higher education establishments, financial institutions and public actors.
EMLV’s involvement in this event is in line with its positioning as a management school with an international faculty, committed to scientific research and connected to global economic transformations.
The themes addressed at the VSBF are in line with the main areas of finance research conducted at the De Vinci Research Centre (DVRC): sustainable finance, governance, international markets, risk management and the digital economy.
The symposium welcomes two renowned keynote speakers in the field of international finance:
Their contributions shed light on the evolution of financial mechanisms, regulatory arbitrage, systemic risk management and the dynamics at play in global markets.
These presentations will structure the dialogue between participants, whether they are academics, finance professionals or institutional representatives.
VSBF 2025 highlights a wide range of research topics, reflecting the diversity of contemporary issues in finance. The work presented covers, in particular:
This programme also includes contributions from practitioners: professional reports, sector analyses and reflections on public policy.
This hybrid approach reinforces the relevance of the symposium for all stakeholders in the field.
The VSBF is a prime venue for the Vietnamese scientific community seeking to develop international collaborations.
The event facilitates the development of joint research projects, the exchange of methodologies and the dissemination of work on emerging markets, national financial policies and regulatory developments.
This dynamic is in line with EMLV’s objectives for the internationalisation of research: to promote academic partnerships, enhance the school’s scientific visibility and offer Master in Management – Grande Ecole Programme students a structured education based on contributions from financial research, particularly within the Finance & Management Control, Corporate Finance and Financial Markets specialisations.
The discussions held throughout the two days of the symposium help to shed light on the debates that are currently shaping finance: digitalisation of services, resilience of financial systems, regulatory transitions, sustainable finance and increased transparency of institutions. These issues are at the heart of the transformations in the finance professions studied at EMLV.
