News Tank-Emerging 2026 Ranking: EMLV ranks 2nd among five-year post-baccalaureate business schools

The News Tank-Emerging 2026 ranking offers a fresh perspective on the performance of higher education institutions in France: going beyond a comparison of traditional academic indicators, it assesses the ability of institutions to genuinely prepare students for the job market and to collaborate with the professional world.

To compile this ranking, Emerging, a firm specialising in employability rankings, draws on responses from a panel of 1,080 professionals involved in recruitment or collaboration with the institutions. Respondents were asked to assess two key dimensions:

  • graduates’ readiness for employment
  • the quality of cooperation between the institution and businesses

These two components are then combined to produce a final score, establishing certain institutions as benchmarks in aligning education with the needs of organisations.

EMLV ranks second among management schools that admit students after the baccalaureate (a five-year programme leading to a master’s degree), and 18th in the overall ranking out of 30 institutions assessed.

A ranking that highlights the ability to meet market expectations

This ranking is not a traditional one based solely on academic figures or starting salaries. It emphasises the ability of institutions to produce graduates who are immediately ready for the workplace, in line with strategic developments within companies.

The methodology combines:

  • an employability indicator, which measures the perceived level of preparation for the job market;
  • an indicator of cooperation with businesses, which reflects the quality of interactions between institutions and the socio-economic sector.

This dual approach makes it possible to identify institutions that not only effectively support their students in securing employment, but also forge lasting links with the professional sector – a factor that is becoming increasingly crucial for future managers.

The News Tank – Emerging Group Awards for higher education–business cooperation aim to highlight institutions that excel in cooperation, based on the GEURS (Global Employability University Ranking and Survey) analytical framework developed by Emerging Group and informed by feedback from over a thousand French employers.

Recognition of academic quality and strong links with the business world

EMLV’s position in this ranking reflects several key aspects of the school’s educational model and strategic positioning:

1. A teaching approach linked to the business world

EMLV structures its Grande École Programme around projects, practical case studies, direct interaction with industry stakeholders, work placements and master’s specialisations available on a work-study basis. This approach anchors students’ experience in real professional needs.

2. Interdisciplinary and hybrid learning

The programme incorporates interdisciplinary projects carried out in collaboration with the schools of De Vinci Higher Education (ESILV and IIM), broadening the range of learning contexts and the types of professionals with whom students work – a skill now in high demand for navigating hybrid energy-management-tech organisations.

3. International outlook

The third year, spent entirely abroad, exposure to a wide range of academic and professional cultures, and the integration of international study programmes all help to develop graduates capable of working effectively both locally and internationally.

4. Support for employability

The ranking also recognises the commitment of the teaching teams to linking education with employability, for example through programmes to prepare students for work placements and international opportunities, personalised support for career plans, and workshops focused on soft skills.

Choosing the right business school: rankings provide valuable insights

In a landscape where there is a wide range of post-baccalaureate courses on offer, this type of ranking provides a practical guide for those seeking a course that combines academic excellence, an international outlook and genuine employability.

The fact that EMLV ranks second on this criterion among a panel of experts involved in recruitment is a relevant indicator of trust for prospective students, going beyond traditional academic rankings alone, in which EMLV regularly features among the top three five-year post-baccalaureate programmes leading to a Master’s degree.

Understanding this ranking in the context of changing professions

Employers today value hybrid profiles: individuals who possess technological skills, an understanding of human issues, and the ability to operate in multicultural and rapidly changing environments. This ranking highlights programmes that impart not only knowledge but also the adaptive and interpersonal skills essential for the future.

For EMLV students, this ranking confirms that the school’s educational model meets these expectations by combining training, professional experience and collaboration with industry stakeholders.

This external recognition complements the programme’s international accreditations and academic openness, reinforcing the value of the Grande École pathway at a time when aligning education with the world of work has become a key priority.
