This strategic alliance is part of the international policy of De Vinci Higher Education, which places hybridisation and openness to the world at the heart of its management, engineering, and digital training programmes.
The Mission Interuniversitaire de Coordination des Échanges Franco-Américains (MICEFA) brings together 18 universities in Paris and the Île-de-France region and 65 North American partner universities.
Previously focused on exchanges between public higher education institutions, MICEFA now welcomes its first management school with the integration of EMLV, which complements an offering that previously lacked a business dimension.
This partnership allows students in the Grande École Programme – Master in Management to spend a semester studying in the United States or English-speaking Canada, earning 30 ECTS credits.
Participants, selected based on their academic results and level of English, take undergraduate courses in management and business. They thus benefit from a recognised academic setting, without additional registration fees.
Beyond outgoing mobility, the programme promotes the hosting of North American students on the De Vinci Paris-La Défense campus, where they take courses in English in an interdisciplinary environment unique in France, combining management, engineering and digital technology.
According to Julie Pidell, Director of International Relations at De Vinci Higher Education:
‘The partnership with MICEFA takes our academic collaborations with North America to a whole new level. Thanks to MICEFA, I was able to go on exchange to California State University, Los Angeles. I am really proud to be able to offer this opportunity to our EMLV students.’
This new agreement is part of an already robust international strategy:
According to Jean Fournier, Director of MICEFA:
‘The arrival of EMLV enriches our network by giving American and Canadian students access to management and business education. Mobility also means learning to manage differences and broaden one’s horizons.’
This partnership consolidates the international influence of De Vinci Higher Education already a member of the Latin American CLADEA network, and helps to strengthen the links between its three schools – EMLV, ESILV and IIM.
By joining MICEFA, De Vinci continues its mission to train hybrid and responsible managers who are capable of evolving in constantly changing multicultural and technological contexts.
This collaboration also illustrates the global openness approach promoted by the AD Education group, to which the Pôle is affiliated, and is in line with its mission as a company: to prepare the talents of tomorrow to understand and respond to major global transitions.
