Her academic and professional journey highlights the role of an English-taught Programme Grande École in preparing graduates for evolving financial functions.
Originally from North Macedonia, Snezhana Georgieva joined EMLV after already gaining experience in accounting, audit and financial reporting. She graduated in 2021 from the MSc Finance & Investment, a programme fully taught in English.
The curriculum, covering a broad range of finance-related topics, aligns with her previous background while enabling deeper specialisation. Courses in financial analysis, reporting standards and international finance provided both theoretical foundations and practical frameworks relevant to consulting and corporate environments.
The English-taught format also played a role in her choice. In a French higher education landscape where English programmes remain selective, this dimension supported her objective of developing an international professional profile.
Beyond academic content, the student experience formed a key component of her time at EMLV. Campus life offered multiple opportunities for interaction through organised activities and student initiatives, facilitating exchanges with peers from different academic and cultural backgrounds.
This environment helped build professional and personal networks while easing integration into life in Paris.
The combination of academic rigour and social engagement shaped an overall experience marked by openness and collaboration, elements that continue to influence her professional approach.
Snezhana’s professional career spans more than ten years in the finance sector. She began in banking, where her responsibilities gradually expanded from operational tasks to financial reporting and analysis. This progression gave her exposure to both technical execution and analytical decision-making.
Following the completion of her Master’s degree at EMLV, she further specialised in financial analysis and reporting. Today, she works as a senior consultant at Exponens, supporting clients across a variety of assignments.
This role brings together her previous experience and academic training within consulting environments that require adaptability and methodological rigour.
Her consulting activities focus primarily on financial reporting, financial analysis, process improvement and financial control. These missions aim to ensure data transparency, accuracy and regulatory compliance for organisations operating in complex financial frameworks.
One of the recurring challenges in this field lies in adapting to continuously evolving financial regulations while integrating them into existing organisational processes.
This requires not only technical expertise but also the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage change within organisations.
Based on her experience, several competencies are essential for financial consulting roles. Analytical rigour remains central, particularly when dealing with financial data and regulatory requirements. At the same time, communication skills and adaptability support collaboration with clients and multidisciplinary teams.
Her academic training strengthened both technical knowledge and the ability to present analyses in a clear, structured, and precise manner—skills directly applicable to consulting contexts.
For Snezhana, being part of the EMLV alumni network represents access to a professional community that extends beyond graduation. This network enables ongoing exchanges, learning opportunities and career development.
She also plans to contribute to this ecosystem by supporting recruitment initiatives and participating in career-related events, reinforcing the links between graduates, students and corporate partners.
EMLV’s alumni network, which brings together 27,000 members, forms an engaged community structured around regular exchanges, mentoring and professional opportunities.
Graduates currently in employment contribute to campus life, welcome new generations into their teams, support school-led projects, and maintain close ties with other members of the network.
This ongoing dynamic strengthens connections among graduating classes and supports long-term career development.
