Le Figaro’s Grande Ecole business school rankings covers 38 schools awarding the Grade de Master. EMLV’s rapid climb made the front page this year…
L’étudiant magazine and Figaro are well renowned papers which publish University league tables every year.
The Le Figaro ranking is an important tool for candidates interested by business schools awarding the Grade de Master, and forms part of an arsenal of league tables published each year by reference media such as l’Etudiant and Le Parisien.
It’s the second ranking to be published this year, following l’Etudiant (where EMLV is classed as the 2nd-best post-bac business school). Le Figaro, meanwhile, ranks Grande Ecole business schools awarding the Grade de Master.
The EMLV has climbed one place in Le Figaro’s 2020 rankings, moving into 4th position just behind the big three; IESEG, ESSCA, and EM Normandie.
Of the 38 schools included in the rankings, 14 offer a 5-year post-bac programme awarding the Grade de Master: “By welcoming bachelor-level students who weren’t convinced by the idea of sweating away in preparatory classes, post-bac business schools are now able to attract very good students; the academic quality at bachelor-level is the proof. At IESEG, for example, the average grade of bachelor-level incoming students is 16.4/20. EMLV is just behind with an average of 14.5/20.” (Le Figaro Étudiant)

Le Figaro bases its decision on several criteria, such as:
- Academic excellence: international accreditations, research output, proportion of research-lecturers employed, average grade of incoming students, professors per student
- International standing: proportion of research-lecturers holding international degrees, international graduates, number of partnerships, international league tables such as the FT and Shanghai rankings.
- Corporate relations: graduate employment, partnerships with major companies, presence on professional networks such as LinkedIn and Viadeo
This 2020 ranking is available online on the Le Figaro’s website (french).
