University of Hamburg, a new agreement to strengthen EMLV’s European openness

EMLV is expanding its international network with an Erasmus+ agreement signed with the University of Hamburg, a renowned German institution accredited by EQUIS. This partnership reinforces the European outreach of the Grande École Programme.

As part of its international development strategy, EMLV is continuing to expand its network of partner universities.

The University of Hamburg x EMLV: a new link with Germany

Located in northern Germany, the University of Hamburg has joined the list of EMLV partner institutions. The recently signed agreement provides for student exchanges under the Erasmus+ programme, with exchanges set to begin in autumn 2026. Two students per cycle will be able to spend one or two semesters at this leading university.

The University of Hamburg is EQUIS-accredited, an international recognition that attests to the quality of its teaching and management.

It is already a partner of several French institutions, including Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, the University of Strasbourg and the Bordeaux Institute of Political Studies.

A targeted partnership for fifth-year students

This new agreement is specifically aimed at students in their fifth year of the EMLV Grande École Programme (Master in Management).

It offers an opportunity for academic immersion at a European institution with high academic standards, with no additional registration fees thanks to the Erasmus+ framework.

This partnership does not provide a double degree or specific certification, but offers a traditional exchange format, including faculty mobility and research collaboration.

Mobility within a structured European framework

The agreement with the University of Hamburg is part of EMLV’s strategy to develop academic partnerships within the European Union.

It complements a series of existing partnerships with several German universities, such as RWTH Aachen University and Hochschule Bremen.

By joining this network, the University of Hamburg becomes a key player in diversifying the international programmes offered by EMLV.

The opportunity to spend a semester or a full year abroad is an asset in the training of future managers, particularly in a context of globalisation of skills and careers.

A strategic partnership for EMLV

The launch of this mobility programme meets several objectives: to offer training with a European focus, to strengthen the school’s academic recognition through accredited institutions, and to expand opportunities for collaboration for teacher-researchers.

It also contributes to the continuous improvement of the school’s educational standards by comparing its practices with those of a leading public institution in the German-speaking world.
