The trigger: the Facebook page “Les Frenchies aux Etats-Unis”

In 2012, I spent one year in the United States, first in New Orleans for six months of study, then in Miami for an internship as part of the international course at EMLV.

In February 2014, back in France, I created the Facebook group “Les Frenchies aux Etats-Unis” which now has more than 14,300 members. Thanks to this initiative on social media I flew back to the United States. An American employer spotted me on the social network. Hee advertised on my site and took me on an internship. I worked with American firms and made me a book of address. I then accumulated several other professional experiences.

After all this time spent in the United States, all these testimonials collected on my Facebook page, I understood that there was an important business issue. In the USA, internships are not necessarily paid, even at a high qualification level. On the contrary, some employers do not hesitate to put their hands in the pocket and to compensate their trainees up to $ 2,500!

Today I contact companies all over the United States (Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, New Orleans, etc.). I negotiate the pay for my candidates.

Then there is the entire HR component. In the United States, 95% of the interviews are done by Skype and do not last more than 20 minutes. You have to be very efficient in the allotted time. My role is to give the best advice to candidates so they can make the difference.

I spent many years at the Pole Léonard de Vinci where student life is effervescent! From my first visit to the school premises during the Open Days in 2009, I absolutely wanted to integrate the EMLV. I do not regret my decision. The teaching team gives me a very good memory and their advice is always so precious.
