On Wednesday, 12 March 2025, De Vinci Higher Education, in collaboration with Paris Nanterre University and the Mairie de Nanterre, hosted the second edition of Equality Day.
An event dedicated to raising awareness around the themes of equality, non-discrimination and inclusion.
Equality Day: an immersive programme to raise awareness among students
Throughout the afternoon, interactive workshops were offered to give the public a better understanding of inequalities through concrete experiences.
- Blind football: an immersion in adapted sports with the Étoile de Vinci association, where participants attempted to play football without seeing the ball.
- Understanding menstrual pain: a workshop led by SAFE, the De Vinci’s feminist association, to explore the reality of menstrual pain.
- Ageing and perception: with an osteopath, participants were able to put on a suit simulating the effects of ageing and experience everyday tasks at the age of 70.
- Virtual reality and gender-based and sexual violence (GBV): an immersive experience offered by HandsAway to better understand these issues.
- GSV awareness game: a workshop co-hosted by the Maison des Femmes de Nanterre and SAFE to situate different situations on the GSV pyramid.
- Handipoursuite: a giant board game on disability in the workplace, presented by Capgemini in partnership with Agefiph.
- Diversity mural: a collaborative workshop initiated by Dassault Systèmes to better understand the challenges of diversity.
- Cognitive biases and discrimination: a reflection on everyday biases with Léo Learning, an association of the Pôle.
- Diversity and cybersecurity: a discussion on the link between inclusion and cybersecurity, organised by Women4Cyber France and DaVinciCode.
At the same time, a solidarity food stand was set up by the Student Union and the culinary association LéoCook, with the aim of supporting students in precarious situations.
Equality Day: a round table discussion on recruitment and diversity
The day ended with a round table discussion on diversity in recruitment, moderated by Maxime Lefébure, HR Manager at Nouvel Obs – Groupe Le Monde. Three speakers from different sectors shared their perspectives:

This discussion provided an opportunity to address the challenges and opportunities related to inclusion in the professional world, highlighting concrete solutions to promote equal opportunities.

By bringing together associations, professionals and students, this second edition of Equality Day raised awareness of key issues among a wide audience. Immersive and interactive formats promoted real awareness, encouraging everyone to become agents of change.
