EMLV students participate in an introductory programme on Artificial Intelligence

EMLV students and teachers are participating in an introductory programme on Artificial Intelligence (AI). This programme aims to explain how algorithms work and to master generative AI tools. The main objectives of the programme are to reduce the generation gap in the use of technology, prepare students for a job market where AI is ubiquitous, and raise awareness of the ethical and environmental issues surrounding this technology.

The courses combine practical exercises and also offer online resources for examining the ethical and practical aspects of AI.

A better understanding of AI concepts

This programme, launched by De Vinci Higher Education, is part of a digital and ecological transition in education, in line with the statements made by the Minister for Higher Education. It encourages students and teachers to regulate the use of AI.

The courses offered as part of this programme combine fun and pragmatism. They immerse participants in an immersive experience. In this regard, autonomous robots are used in practical activities. Students become familiar with the fundamental principles of machine learning, natural language processing and neural networks.

This interactive approach allows for a deeper understanding of key AI concepts. The course emphasises understanding concepts such as clustering, cognitive biases and generative AI hallucinations. It also offers practical activities to learn how to configure these tools.

In addition, the programme incorporates an ethical approach, addressing issues such as data protection and the environmental impact of AI.

The main objective of this programme for students

The main objective of this programme is to bridge the generation gap in digital skills.

At a time when AI is increasingly shaping our personal and professional lives, it is imperative to prepare students for a world where this technology plays an increasingly central role.

At the same time, particular attention is paid to the ethical and environmental issues associated with the growing use of AI in our society.
