EMLV for EPHEC: Bridging Education and Luxury in Paris

In an era where the convergence of academia and industry is becoming increasingly crucial, Ecole de Promotion Sociale Ephec (EPHEC), based in Brussels, has joined forces with EMLV for a groundbreaking collaboration. This collaboration aims to provide a unique educational experience focusing on luxury and fashion in the heart of Paris.

EPHEC, renowned for its diverse range of programs spanning economics, law, technology, and business analysis, assigned 16 students and two teachers to attend a one-week program in Paris. The program, meticulously crafted by EMLV, offers an immersive experience comprising academic sessions, field visits, and social activities centred around luxury and fashion.

A tailor-made programme to better understand the luxury industry

The week-long program was packed with enriching activities to broaden students’ understanding of the luxury industry. Academic sessions, totalling 9 hours, delve into topics such as brand strategies in fashion and luxury and the cultural evolution of haute couture to luxury ready-to-wear. These sessions, led by experts in the field, provide invaluable insights into the intricate workings of the luxury market. Field visits to iconic establishments synonymous with luxury complement the academic component.

From the opulent settings of la Samaritaine luxury retail shop to the artistic marvels of Courbet Jewellery company and Musée Fragonard du parfum, students are treated to firsthand experiences that bring textbook theories to life. Guided tours of landmarks like Opéra Garnier and Palais Galliera offer glimpses into Parisian elegance and heritage.
