The beauty industry is a sector that makes young business school graduates dream: after Chanel, it is L’Oréal that catches their eye, the world’s number one in the cosmetics industry with 86,000 employees and vacancies in marketing. L’Oréal also has its foundation, which focuses on science and beauty and the empowerment of women in this sector.
The most used search engine in the world is the first member of GAFAM to be among the preferred companies of graduates from business schools. Google has almost 100,000 employees and, like Apple, provides an innovative and dynamic environment that matches the expectations of young graduates.
Chanel, the French luxury brand, continues to turn the heads of fashion enthusiasts worldwide, with revenues of nearly 11 billion euros in 2019. As the second-largest of the world’s top three luxury brands (ahead of Gucci and behind Louis Vuitton), the company has more than 2,500 employees and offers numerous positions in marketing and sales.
Apple, the leading American multinational tech company, continues to inspire young graduates who are drawn to this cutting-edge and innovative environment. It has nearly 120,000 employees in 22 countries and about 500 Apple Stores. The types of jobs that correspond to young management graduates are varied (marketing, sales and business development) and the dynamic and always moving environment corresponds to the expectations of Millenials and Generation Z.
The French national airline company has almost 85,000 employees and is a founding member of the Skyteam global alliance, alongside Korean Air, Aeromexico and Delta. Air France recruits a large number of young graduates, notably in yield management, project management and in the digital business.
With more than 300,000 employees, Deloitte is the world’s largest auditing firm and the oldest in the Big Four of audit and consulting companies. Each year 50% of the young graduates who join its teams come from business schools. Positions are grouped into five business families: Audit, Consulting, Risk Advisory, Financial Advisory and Corporate Functions. A junior auditor earns an average gross annual salary of €40,475 per year.
As the second Big Four company in the ranking, EY, along with Deloitte, is one of the world’s largest audit and advisory firms, with a presence in more than 150 countries and about 200,000 employees. The average gross annual salary for a junior employee is €39,385, slightly below Deloitte.
KPMG, the international accounting firm, is present in more than 150 countries and has nearly 200,000 employees worldwide. A prestigious company that is part of the Big Four with Deloitte, PwC and Ernst & Young, and offers an average gross annual salary of €39,385 for a junior accountant.
