The Most Instagrammable Spots in Paris Through the Lens of EMLV Students

The most Instagrammable spots in Paris are not only the most photogenic. These places are also some of the best memory makers for locals, tourists, and especially EMLV students and alumni.

These photo locations captured by EMLV students and alumni are a sight for sore eyes!

La Défense

As the largest business district in Europe home to 19 skyscrapers and more than 50 other buildings made of glass and steel, la Défense is an area in the Paris Metropolitan Area of Île-de-France, located in the Hauts-de-Seine French department, just west of Paris. Its modern aesthetics give it a classy and futuristic appeal that not only attracts multi-national companies but tourists and photographers alike.

Jardin des Tuileries

As much as we love this location in the springtime, it definitely has a special feature in each season, with melancholic vibes during the fall time, and poetic vibes during summer. The Tuileries Gardens take their name from the tile factories which previously stood on the site where Queen Catherine de Medici built the Palais des Tuileries in 1564. André Le Nôtre, the famous gardener of King Louis XIV, re-landscaped the gardens in 1664 to give them their current French formal garden style. The gardens, which separate the Louvre from the Place de la Concorde, are a pleasant place for walking, reading, contemplating nature, taking splendid photographs, and getting inspired by the works of art in the surrounding.

Palais Garnier

A symbol of Paris like Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, or the Sacré Coeur Basilica, Palais Garnier is the renowned opera house at the Place de l’Opéra in the 9th arrondissement of Paris. Stunning both on the inside and outside, this architectural masterpiece was inaugurated in 1875 at the request of Napoleon III, and is, without a doubt, one of the most dazzling monuments in Paris.

Notre Dame Square and Surrounding Streets

While most tourists head straight to the Eiffel Tower and wander around the Louvre, there are plenty of other destinations to consider. This one, in particular, is stunning at sunrise and sunset, every step you take you to discover a corner worth shooting. The public spots are gorgeous during different times of day but it is the corners and side streets that reflect the beauty and culture of Paris.

La Seine à Paris

Each bridge and street framing the Seine river offers a double view. It’s one of the best Paris photo spots! Come here at golden hour and you won’t regret it.

Atelier des Lumières

The Atelier des Lumières is the first all-digital art museum in Paris. It doesn’t only host some of the most artistically interactive exhibitions out there, but the lights and mood make it an aesthetic on its own, where you end up with some of the most gorgeous shots ever.
