These initiatives are part of the program’s applied learning approach, designed to help students understand the dynamics and challenges of the luxury sector through direct observation and interaction.
The learning journey began with a visit to the Regus Coworking Space in Issy-les-Moulineaux, offering insights into new ways of working and entrepreneurship within the luxury sector.
A masterclass on technology and innovation delivered by Aldina Suwanto, Head of Hair Tools & Energies Innovation at L’Oréal, presenting concrete examples of how research and development inform product innovation in a leading global beauty group, followed the visit.
The group attended the exhibition “Paris, Capitale de la Perle” at the Hôtel de Mercy-Argentau, focused on precious materials and the heritage of fine craftsmanship in luxury.
They also toured the Fragonard Perfume Museum, located near the Paris Opéra Garnier, to explore the historical and sensory dimensions of the perfume industry.
To explore the retail strategies of leading fashion and luxury brands, students visited Galeries Lafayette Haussmann and Printemps, two key locations in the Parisian luxury landscape.
The program also included attendance at the Unique Fashion Show Paris at the Hôtel Shangri-La, highlighting current trends and event-based communication in fashion.
Finally, a guided visit to the Hôtel de la Marine offered an opportunity to reflect on the connection between historical architecture, cultural heritage, and contemporary luxury experiences.
The MSc Luxury & Innovation Management program leverages the richness of Paris’s luxury ecosystem to deliver a hands-on and interdisciplinary learning experience.
