During the AGIR meetings held at the Beffroi de Montrouge, the Léonard de Vinci Centre and the National Gendarmerie signed a three-year partnership agreement.

This agreement is part of a dynamic exchange aimed at strengthening collaboration between the academic and institutional worlds in order to meet the challenges of training and technological innovation.

De Vinci Higher Education and the National Gendarmerie: a partnership dedicated to student training

The agreement provides for structured support for students at the Léonard de Vinci Campus by the National Gendarmerie. The objectives include:

• Organising internships: offering immersive opportunities to enable students to gain a better understanding of the professions and missions of the National Gendarmerie.
• Academic projects and conferences: implementing targeted educational initiatives to enrich students’ knowledge, promote exchanges and raise awareness of contemporary security and technological challenges.

These actions aim to strengthen students’ professional skills and increase their understanding of strategic issues related to public safety.

A common research focus to address technological challenges

Beyond educational activities, this collaboration also includes research initiatives in partnership with laboratories, experts, and doctoral and post-doctoral researchers. The topics covered will include advanced technological fields such as:

• Innovation in cybersecurity, a major challenge for public and private institutions.
• The development of technological tools to optimise security and field operations.

These research projects aim to encourage the sharing of expertise and position innovation as a strategic lever for anticipating the security challenges of tomorrow.

Partnership with the National Gendarmerie: the 2024-2025 action plan: objectives and guidelines

As part of this partnership, an action plan has been defined for the 2024-2025 academic year. This programme is based on two major objectives:

1. Increase the visibility of the National Gendarmerie’s activities among students. This approach aims to inform and spark the interest of future graduates in the recruitment opportunities on offer.
2. Implement concrete initiatives to strengthen awareness of the Gendarmerie’s missions and facilitate interactions with students.
