Blended Intensive Programme – partnership between EMLV, ASE in Romania and the University of Zagreb in Croatia

EMLV signs its first Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) with two partner universities in Romania and Croatia, focusing on international strategies in an unstable geopolitical context.

Through this hybrid format, EMLV combines international mobility, academic cooperation and strategic analysis of contemporary economic transformations.

A new step in EMLV’s internationalisation strategy

EMLV is taking a new step in its internationalisation strategy with the signing of its first Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Erasmus+.

This intensive hybrid programme has been developed in partnership with ASE – Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romania) and the University of Zagreb (Croatia), two institutions recognised at European level.

This programme is part of the Master in Management- Grande École Programme, aimed at students with five years of higher education and leading to a Master’s degree, offering an innovative teaching format that combines short periods of physical mobility with remote academic collaboration in a multicultural and transdisciplinary setting.

The Blended Intensive Programme: an innovative European educational format

Blended Intensive Programmes are a specific format of the Erasmus+ programme. They are based on short, intensive mobility periods combined with a compulsory virtual component, promoting collaborative work between students and teachers from several European higher education institutions.

This format enables the development of academic and professional skills in a variety of international contexts, while making mobility more accessible.

The activities offered are based on active teaching approaches, such as challenge-based learning, linked to contemporary economic, societal or geopolitical issues.

A programme focused on international business issues in Eastern Europe

The BIP, run by EMLV, is aimed at students in the Master in Management – Grande École Programme, specialising in International Business. It is structured around the following theme:
‘Resilient International Business Strategies Amid Geopolitical Instability: An Eastern European Perspective’.

The programme will run from 3 to 9 May 2026 and is worth 5 ECTS credits. It includes three preparatory online meetings to structure collaborative work before the mobility period.

The mobility phase will alternate between company visits in the morning and academic teaching at the end of the day. Two cultural visits will complete the programme. The last day will be devoted to assessments and the certificate award ceremony.

Funding is based on Erasmus+ support, supplemented by partial coverage provided by the Romanian partner university for certain participants.

Leading academic partners in Europe

The University of Zagreb, founded in 1669, is the oldest and largest university in Croatia. A leading public institution in South-Eastern Europe, it is distinguished by its strong research focus and academic offerings covering all scientific fields. It accounts for a major share of national scientific output and places interdisciplinarity at the heart of its development strategy.

In the fifth year, courses are taken alongside international students from the MSc International Business programme, in a fully English-speaking and multicultural academic environment that encourages the exchange of practices and comparative approaches to international markets.
